Syriac: bkhoolhoon safreh
Alleluia! Let us praise the Lord.
Early Sunday morning heaven sings with joy
and the earth is glad,
for the Lord is truly risen from the dead.
On his Father’s right, he sits upon his throne;
angels worship him.
Alleluia! Let us praise the Lord.
Women went on Sunday morning with perfume
to anoint the Lord.
At the tomb an angel clothed in light proclaimed:
"Christ is truly risen from among the dead
in great majesty!"
Alleluia! Let us praise the Lord.
Holy God, the saints in heaven sing your praise
with the Church on earth.
Sanctify us, Holy Lord, and dwell in us,
that we may exalt your name, from age to age,
with the purest love.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.
Lord Jesus, you are the living Light who transformed darkness into light. Through the blessings of this glorious Sunday, make us worthy to praise you with all those who saw the radiant light of your resurrection. We worship and thank you, your Father, and your Holy Spirit, now and forever.
Let us raise glory, honor, and praise to the Living One, who by his death gave life to his creation. By his resurrection, he saved his Church, gave joy to his flock, brought us back to his Father, and enriched us with the gifts of his Spirit. To the Good One be glory and honor, on this blessed Sunday, and all the days of our lives, and forever. Amen.
Only-begotten Son, you were born of the Father before all ages, and by your creative will you separated light from darkness on this the first day of the week. You fashioned all creation to honor Adam, the image of your majesty.
We praise and thank you and celebrate proclaiming:
Blessed are you, for you appeared in the flesh on earth like us and you lived among us.
Blessed are you, for you were buried and counted among the dead, and you shined your light in the sadness of the tomb.
Blessed are you, for you rose to life, giving good hope to all, and you filled the angels with radiance, and they appeared at your tomb like flashes of lightning.
Now, O Christ, we ask you, with the fragrance of this incense, to make us worthy to rejoice in the glory of your radiant resurrection. Breathe life into our departed, and make them worthy to stand at your right hand in your eternal light that you have prepared for those who love you. With them we praise and thank you for your graces, and glorify you, your Father, and your Holy Spirit, forever. Amen.
Syriac: ehnono noohro shareero
God began to create all things
when he said: "Let there be light,"
and he saw that the light was good.
On this greatest day of days,
God created ranks of fire,
thousands of angelic hosts,
and the seraphim who cried:
"Holy, holy, holy Lord!
Blest are you, O Hidden One!"
Christ our King, at the end of time,
will return triumphantly
with his life-giving cross raised high
as the faithful sing his praise.
Those who crucified the Lord
will be put to shame that day,
and those who did not believe
will be pierced with bitter pain
when they hear the shouts of joy.
God has blessed and has glorified
Sunday as a holy day,
as the first day of all the days,
made for worship and for prayer.
Through it may our minds find joy
and our bodies be refreshed.
May the Spirit fill our souls
with the grace to strengthen us,
so that we may live in Christ.
O Lord, accept the fragrance of our incense and our prayers, and may we become a sweet fragrance through our good works and actions. Hear our petitions, and grant rest to our departed in your dwelling place of joy. O Lord our God, to you be glory, forever. Amen.

You are holy, O God. You are holy, O Strong One. You are holy, O Imortal One. Have mercy on us.
قُدُوسٌ أَنْتَ يا الله، قُدُوسٌ أَنْتَ يا قَوِي، قُدُوسٌ أَنْتَ يا مَنْ لا يَموتْ، إِرْحَمْنا
Holy and immortal Lord, sanctify our minds and purify our consciences, that we may praise you with purity and listen to your Holy Scriptures. To you be glory forever. Amen.
Come in peace, blessèd Sunday!
Come in glory, feast so great!
With the angels of heaven
let us sing and celebrate.
Shout with joy from the mountains:
"Sunday is a feast so great!"
Offer praise to the Lord God,
and with angels celebrate.
Blest be God who exalted
Sunday far above all days.
Let the priests read the Gospel;
let us sing our hymns of praise.
A reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians. Your blessing, Father.
Glory to the Lord of Paul and the apostles! May the mercy of God descend upon the reader and the listeners and upon this parish and her children forever. Amen.
Brothers and Sisters:
When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come proclaiming the mystery of God to you in lofty words or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I came to you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. My speech and my proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God. Yet among the mature we do speak wisdom, though it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to perish. But we speak God’s wisdom, secret and hidden, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this; for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the human heart conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him"—these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
(1 Corinthians 2:1-10)
Praise be to God always!
"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice in it and be glad."
Before the proclamation of the Gospel of our Savior, announcing life for our souls, we offer this incense and ask for your mercy, O Lord.
Peace be with you.
And with your spirit.
From the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Saint John, who proclaimed life to the world.
Let us listen to the proclalation of life and salvation for our souls.
Remain silent, O listeners, for the Holy Gospel is about to be proclaimed to you.
Listen and give glory and thanks to the Word of the living God.
"Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it. "If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever. This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, because he abides with you, and he will be in you. "I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you. In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me; because I live, you also will live. On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them." Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered him, "Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; and the word that you hear is not mine, but is from the Father who sent me. "I have said these things to you while I am still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.
This is the truth! Peace be with you!
Praise and blessings to Jesus Christ, our Lord and God, for giving us his words of life.
